NEW WARNING
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has notified health care professionals and patients about stolen vials of insulin detemir (Levemir) that are being sold in the United States. Vials may have been improperly handled and stored, making them dangerous for patient use. The FDA is recommending that patients check personal insulin supplies to determine whether they have the vials from these affected lots: XZF0036, XZF0037, or XZF0038. If patients or health care providers discover insulin from any of these lots, they should contact the Novo Nordisk Customer Care Center at 1-800-727-6500.
