NEW WARNING
The Food and Drug Administration and Brookstone Pharmaceuticals have notified health care professionals about a voluntary recall of concentrated acetaminophen drops packaged in 16 oz (473 ml) containers. The concentrated liquid is packaged in containers that are similar to regular strength acetaminophen liquid products. The concentrated drops are also packaged without a dosage delivery device. The similar packaging may lead to inadvertent dosing errors, specifically overdosing. Overdosing of acetaminophen may lead to liver toxicity, kidney damage, blood disorder, and death. Brookstone Pharmaceuticals is recalling all lots of concentrated acetaminophen drops NDC#42192-504-16 to avoid any confusion and eliminate the risk of dosing errors.
