NEW INDICATION & DOSAGE
Community-acquired pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Legionella pneumophila—
Adults: Initially, 100 mg I.V.; then 50 mg I.V. every 12 hours for 7 to 14 days. Infuse drug over 30 to 60 minutes.
ADJUST-A-DOSE: For patients with severe hepatic impairment, give an initial dose of 100 mg I.V. and then give 25 mg I.V. every 12 hours.
