NEW INDICATION & DOSAGE
Monotherapy or adjunct to mood stabilizers, antidepressants, or both for acute treatment of schizoaffective disorder—
Adults: 6 mg P.O. daily, in the morning. Adjust dosage in 3-mg increments at more than 4-day intervals according to patient response; recommended dosage range, 3 to 12 mg daily.
ADJUST-A-DOSE: If creatinine clearance is 79 ml/minute to 50 ml/minute, initially give 3 mg P.O. once daily. May increase dose to a maximum of 6 mg once daily as tolerated, based on clinical response. If creatinine clearance is 49 ml/minute to 10 ml/minute, initially give 1.5 mg P.O. once daily, increase to maximum dose of 3 mg once daily, as tolerated. Drug isn't recommended in patients with a creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/minute.
